According to the official website of “Ghoulish” Gary Pullin, his interest in the dark arts stared at a young age.
Ever since an old, unscrupulous priest gifted young Gary with his first set of markers at the tender age of six, he’s been developing his unique style – equal parts Robert Crumb, Charles Burns and Basil Gogos – that has bled into scads of mediums in and out of the genre.
Well, that is one priest I would like to thank. Gary has been creating some of the most impressive horror art in recent years.
He is a true favorite of mine. Just have a look :
His covers for the excellent horror magazine Rue Morgue is where I first spied Gary’s awesome artwork.
He has since designed some pretty incredible posters for some great films and festivals.
His work sets a high standard in horror pulp art.
Be sure and visit the website of Ghoulish Gary to view and purchase many more of his works, including T-shirts!
Do your homework and swing by his killer Facebook page and say hi!
The portrait of “Ghoulish Gary” above is by one of his very talented colleagues, Jason Edmiston. We will be looking at his work soon!
